Midtown Express Project
SouthGate Constructors has announced that portions of the timeline of the Midtown Express project in Euless have been expedited. The Ector Drive entrance and exit ramps were permanently closed March 4 and the Main Street bridge closed on June 7. During the course of this construction, various lane closures will occur along SH 183 as SouthGate moves traffic. This will primarily take place between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The Midtown Express Project, formerly known as "SH 183 Managed Lanes Project" is an $850M design-build, finance, operate and maintain project that spans 28 miles, 5 cities and 2 counties. The project will reconstruct portions of frontage roads, portions of general purpose lanes and construct one TEXpress (toll managed) lane in each direction. Dates are subject to change.
Informational meetings have been recorded and a video archive is available on online to watch at your convenience.

Drivers are encouraged to use the following detour to access Main Street during the closure:
The pedestrian bridge over SH 183 east of Ector Drive was also removed and will not be rebuilt. Access will be maintained at Ector Drive.
