Learn how to attract butterflies to your garden. Besides enhancing your garden with their beauty, butterflies pollinate your favorite plants.
In this presentation, you will learn how to create a butterfly habitat in your landscape by introducing a water source and feeders, as well as how to select the right plants as host species for caterpillars.
Daniel Cunningham will also talk about native and adapted flowers that provide long-lasting blooms as nectar sources to help your garden take flight.
About the Speaker: Daniel Cunningham is a Program Coordinator - Urban Water at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in Dallas, Texas. Daniel received a B.S. in environmental horticulture and minored in natural resource management from Texas Tech University. While at Tech, he discovered a passion for water-conserving landscapes while conducting breeding and trial research with native plant material. While working towards a Master of Science degree in horticulture, also at Texas Tech, his research focused on community development and implementation of integrated sustainable food production systems in arid areas.
